Baby sizes

From birth to three months, babies are usually up to about 62 cm; three to six months up to 68 cm; six to twelve months up to 80 cm. These are approximate and vary between brands. For newborns, go by the weight and length printed on the label rather than the month alone.

Why height comes first

A tall four-year-old will often need the 5–6 size even though the label says otherwise. Measure height (and weight for babies) before every order, because children grow fast and last season's size is rarely right.

Room to grow, but not too much

Choose slightly larger for everyday clothes so they last longer, and the exact size for special occasions. Cotton can shrink in the wash, so leave a little extra there. A neat trick for fast growers: buy basics in two consecutive sizes, use the smaller now and the bigger a few months later, with ANP9 applied across the whole order.

Kids' shoes on Namshi

Children's footwear is split into babies, little kids and big kids, and many brands use their own divisions. Use our kids' shoe size chart to size by foot length and add 1 to 1.5 cm for growth. For school shoes, leave about a finger's width in front of the toes and pick a non-slip sole.

What can't be returned

Kids' clothing can be returned within 14 days in its original condition. Some baby products, such as nappies, wipes and feeding items, can't be returned for hygiene reasons.

Back-to-school and Eid timing

In Saudi Arabia, schools went back on 23 August 2026. Ordering two weeks earlier makes it more likely your sizes are in stock. For Eid outfits, order at least a week ahead so there is time to use the exchange if needed. Sizing for siblings and gifts

Buying for a niece, nephew or a friend's child? Ask the parents for height rather than age, because that single number removes most of the guesswork. If you can't get it, choose the size above the child's age for everyday wear; it will fit eventually. Keep the tags on until the child has tried the item, as the 14-day return and one-time exchange only apply to items in their original condition.

For twins or siblings close in age, ordering one size up for the older child and the exact size for the younger lets you pass clothes down later.

Fabrics that suit Gulf weather

For daily wear in the heat, choose cotton or cotton blends that are easy to wash, and check the composition on the product page. Remember cotton may shrink slightly, which is another reason to lean towards the larger size for everyday basics.

Delivery options for busy parents

Namshi offers same-day and next-day delivery for a fee in selected cities (SAR 24 or SAR 18 in Saudi Arabia; AED 18 or AED 14 in the UAE). For school uniforms needed urgently, that can be worth paying for, but a planned order above the free-delivery threshold is cheaper.
