Promo code or bank offer: which saves more?
A promo code can't be combined with a bank card offer. Enter your basket and the bank's discount to see which saves more: code cashback or the bank discount.
Enter the bank offer exactly as the bank or the store states it. A bank offer and a promo code can't be used on the same order, so you have to pick one.
In short
- The rule
- At noon and Namshi a bank card offer can't be combined with a promo code on the same order, so pick whichever is worth more for your basket.
- When the code wins
- On small and mid-sized baskets, before the code reaches its cap.
- When the bank offer wins
- On large baskets, if the bank offer's cap is higher than the code's.

How to use the calculator
- Enter your basket value.
- Pick the code from the list: its rate and cap are filled in from its published terms.
- Enter the bank offer's rate and cap exactly as the bank or the store states them.
- Read the result: what each option is worth, which saves more, and by how much.
Why you can't have both
noon and Namshi allow one offer per order. Choosing a card with a bank offer at checkout cancels the code's effect, and the other way round. So the useful question isn't “how do I stack them?” but “which is higher for my basket?”.
The exception is 0% bank installments: at noon you can use a promo code together with an installment plan, because an installment plan is a way of paying, not a discount.
Example: noon's new-customer code vs a hypothetical bank offer
| Basket (SAR) | AUC64: 10% cashback, max 150 | Hypothetical bank offer: 15%, max 100 | Higher |
|---|---|---|---|
| 300 | 30 | 45 | Bank |
| 800 | 80 | 100 | Bank |
| 1,200 | 120 | 100 | Code |
| 1,500 | 150 | 100 | Code |
| 3,000 | 150 | 100 | Code |
What the example shows
The bank offer in the example has the higher rate but the lower cap, so it wins on small baskets and then stops at 100. The code has the lower rate but a cap of 150, so it pulls ahead from a basket of about 1,000. The break-even point moves with every offer, which is why you need to run your own basket.
The bank offer in the table is hypothetical and only there to illustrate. Real offers by bank are on our noon KSA bank offers and noon UAE bank offers pages.
Cashback isn't cash
The noon code returns the amount as credit in your noon account after delivery. Credits can't be withdrawn to a bank, they expire, and they can only be spent at noon. A bank offer is usually an instant discount that lowers what you pay now.
So when the two are worth the same, the bank offer is the safer choice. And if the code is only slightly ahead and you don't plan to shop at noon soon, the instant discount is more useful. More on our noon cashback page.
Namshi: an instant discount capped at 50
Namshi's ANP9 is an instant 20% discount capped at SAR 50 or AED 50, so it tops out on a basket of 250. Above that, any bank offer with a cap higher than 50 wins. Because both are instant discounts, the comparison here is purely about the numbers.
A quick decision
- Small basket and the bank's rate is higher than the code's: take the bank offer.
- Large basket: take the option with the higher cap.
- The two are close and the code pays cashback: take the bank offer, because it's instant.
- You want 0% installments at noon: use the code with the installment plan.
- You don't hold the bank's card: the code is your only option, and you can size it with the promo code savings calculator.
What the calculator can't know
It compares the figures you enter. It doesn't know a bank offer's own conditions, such as specific days of the week, excluded categories or a monthly usage limit. Read the offer's terms on the checkout page or the bank's site before relying on the result. Everything runs in your browser and nothing you type is stored.

Yes at noon: the code works with 0% installment plans.
