What the Dubai Shopping Festival is
DSF is one of the region's longest-running shopping festivals, held every year between December and January and organised by Dubai's Department of Economy and Tourism. It combines mall markdowns, raffles and entertainment, and it is popular with families and visitors alike.
Other Dubai events follow the same model, such as Dubai Summer Surprises (2 July to 30 August 2026) and the three-day Super Sale.
DSF for online shoppers
You don't have to go to a mall. Online retailers run their own promotions across the festival, and in some categories they can beat in-store prices. Expect winter clothing markdowns and end-of-season sales on Namshi, general deals on noon, and end-of-season reductions at Level Shoes.
One important catch: online promo codes don't usually apply in physical mall shops during DSF. Use them on the store's website or app.

Pace yourself: the festival runs for weeks
Offers refresh throughout the festival, so there is no need to rush on day one if the price isn't right. Malls also announce raffles and late-night deals as the weeks go on.
For online orders, A AED 250 basket with ANP9 gets you AED 50 off. On noon, A AED 500 basket with AUC64 gets you AED 50 cashback.
A DSF game plan
- Watch for the official dates, usually announced in November.
- Compare mall offers with online stores before buying the same item.
- Use MUSE early access if you are Silver or Gold.
- Keep receipts, because warranties and returns work normally during DSF.
- Remember that online codes don't work in physical stores.
Where DSF fits in the UAE calendar
DSF normally opens within days of Eid Al Etihad and after White Friday, which means December can be one long sales stretch. Check the Level Shoes sale page and Namshi sale page for current markdowns.
Returns and receipts during the festival
Festival buying is often impulse buying, so know the exit routes. Namshi in the UAE offers free returns within 14 days and one free size exchange per item; Level Shoes offers free returns within 30 days but no direct exchange; noon accepts returns within 15 days of receipt under its UAE policy.
Winter coats and boots bought in the first week of DSF will still be inside those windows if you change your mind before the festival ends, which is another reason not to panic-buy on opening day.
